The short version
We use cookies on calceocura.com to make the site work, understand how it is used, and — only with your consent — to show relevant marketing. You are in control: you can accept all, decline non-essential cookies, or change your preferences at any time. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles that are shared or sold to third parties.
01 What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the owners of the site.
Cookies contain a small amount of data, typically an anonymous unique identifier. They are sent from a website's server to your browser and stored on your device. On your next visit, your browser sends the cookie back to the server, allowing the site to recognise you and remember your preferences.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner (such as analytics or advertising services) are called "third-party cookies".
In addition to cookies, we may use similar tracking technologies such as:
- Web beacons (also known as pixel tags or clear GIFs): tiny images embedded in web pages or emails that track whether a page was visited or an email was opened
- Local storage: a browser feature similar to cookies that allows websites to store data on your device without expiry
- Session storage: like local storage but cleared when the browser tab is closed
This policy applies to all of the above technologies, collectively referred to as "cookies" throughout this document.
02 Legal Basis for Using Cookies
Our use of cookies is governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR), as supplemented by the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Under PECR and UK GDPR, we may only store cookies on your device if they are:
- Strictly necessary for the operation of the website (no consent required); or
- Used for any other purpose, in which case we must obtain your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent before setting them.
When you first visit calceocura.com, you will be presented with a cookie consent banner. This banner allows you to accept all cookies, decline all non-essential cookies, or customise your preferences by category. Your choices are stored and respected on subsequent visits.
Consent obtained via our banner meets the standard required by the ICO: it is granular (per category), freely given (declining does not prevent site access), and as easy to withdraw as to give (you can change your preferences at any time).
03 The Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies. Click any category below to understand what it covers and whether your consent is required.
🔒 Strictly Necessary No consent needed

📣 Marketing & Targeting Consent required

- Persistent cookies: remain on your device for the duration specified in their properties, or until you delete them manually. We use persistent cookies for analytics, preferences, and consent records.
The duration of each cookie we use is listed in the specific cookie table in Section 4. We minimise cookie lifespans wherever possible and do not retain cookie data longer than necessary.
